We are often asked about some of our favorite spots around Madison, so we’ve collected a few special places we always recommend. 

Just a block away from the downtown village of Madison, you’ll find this authentic French bistro. From the imported zinc bar to the tiled floors, Bar Bouchee captures the all the charm of a quaint Parisian neighborhood spot. Convivial, boisterous, social. You’re instantly surrounded by an atmosphere of familiarity and good spirit. Warm weather signals patio season and we love their outdoor dining. 

Every Friday from 3-6 on Madison’s town green vendors bring their freshest wares and local product from the surrounding area.  Too many delicious things to list but we always go for some fresh bread and cheese and soak up the small town community feelings.  

HAMMONASSET BEACH START PARK WALK

This 3.8-mile out-and-back trail is a favorite for some fresh air and exercise.  It takes a little over an hour and is a great spot for seeing some shoreline birds.  The walk includes some beach time which is always top on our list.
